From Tahiti to Scotland in just over three weeks… We were a little confused ourselves until we landed this morning at 7:30, got the car all sorted out, and were on the road to the Standingstone Farmhouse. Dad had given us a very last-minute trip to Tahiti (see blog for details and pictures), but we were already scheduled for Scotland, becoming an annual pilgrimage. Tahiti had its own charm, but these skies, the open spaces, and the quiet are instant decompressors for us. This is why we are here— the people, the scenery, the golf!
After a warm hug and quick conversation with Karen and Ann, we headed out to the Old Clubhouse for lunch— hoping to see some of the women’s tour players there because they’re all in town, prepping for the Ladies Scottish Open (more on that tomorrow!) After a quiet lunch and no sightings, we headed back through a maze of golf courses to Karen’s, where we rested for one hour, then grabbed our clubs and headed out —to the golf course, of course!
