“Good news. At the museum, you will not need to pay to use the toilet. Your ticket to the museum will be your ticket to tinkle for free!”
This was a day of exploration and a dramatic change in the weather.

In Dresden, even though we’re in East Germany, all the GDR troubles are forgotten. These old buildings remind us of greater times. Even though this city was totally flattened during the War, it was completely rebuilt by the Soviets to show off its former glory.

Sadly, we still have low water, which we know is a thing with river cruises, which means no cruising. We will stay docked in Dresden as we were in Wittenberg. The water level is low now, but historically, this area has also had plenty of high floods.
In local news, 1945 ended Naxi times, but Nazis still exist in the guise of the extreme right. Everyone is very worried about the upcoming election.
This area was liberated by the US, but controlled by the Soviets. Everyone around here was either killed or in concentration camps.

Later in the tour, the rain came down in buckets! John and I shared an umbrella and made it back to the boat, but our guide was completely soaked. Good fun!

A lovely day!
