Departure, 7:30 pm. We didn’t intend to go to Iceland, but it happened because of an airline ticket we bought last year for another trip. Iceland was supposed to be a jumping off point to Greenland, but the dates were changed, and the Iceland portion was no longer needed. Since we had the tickets, our first thought was, “Let’s use them to go to Scotland!” So here we are on a very interesting, small island, creating our own adventure.

Our main advisors for this trip were Lauren, Julie, and Susan, who told us to drive, look out the window at all times, soak in the scenery, and find a geothermal pool somewhere. They each said, “You’ll love it!”

And we did.
